Family support and resources page
Families are perhaps the most critical component of an early childhood system dedicated to promoting a healthy and happy development for young children.
Families are responsible for ensuring that their young children receive adequate food, shelter and medical attention, nurturing relationships at home and the full measure of opportunities for social, emotional and cognitive development that shapes the child’s eventual success in school and in life.
It is a daunting and sometimes overwhelming task, especially when young families are challenged by pressures of work, economic stress and finding adequate medical services and social and education activities.
Services are available locally to help parents:
- Support expecting and new parents
- Access family support and education
- Find childcare and preschool
- Insure your child’s early development
- Improve early literacy
- Find activities for parents and young children
